Riverside University Health System – Medical Center Receives $14,000 Donation
As we closed out 2016, the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation had the pleasure to make a first time donation to the Riverside University Health System Foundation in support of the Riverside University Health System’s Medical Center with $14,000 towards their Pediatrics and Child Abuse and Neglect unit (CAN unit).
Their Foundation’s mission is to directly support Riverside University Health System by providing comprehensive and vigorous programs of community awareness and education, public relations and fundraising activities.
The Riverside University Health System – Medical Center first opened in 1893 as Riverside County’s first general hospital, but today it stands as a pillar of excellence in health care and medical education in the region. They provide exceptional care in specialties such as pediatrics, obstetrics and psychiatry, and in the treatment of diabetes and hepatitis C. The Medical Center is a designated Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and the only Pediatric ICU in the region.
“Your donation has allowed us to directly support children and their families who are served here at Riverside University Health System- Medical Center. Children come to us because they are sick, or need well-baby care, while others come to us to be evaluated for possible abuse or neglect, and your generous gift has allowed us to provide them with engaging play stations, learning toys and books while they wait. Challenges in funding had prevented us from purchasing such items in the past, so your gift is making a real, tangible difference in these families’ experiences here at the Medical Center.” – Erin Phillips, Executive Director
